M-Pesa Customers to Make Cash Withdrawals through DTB Machines!!

Dar es Salaam, 26th March, 2013 -M-Pesa customers are now set to make cash withdrawals through Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) ATMs, following a partnership deal between DTB and Vodacom Tanzania.

This extension of withdrawal channel will be an addition to more than 40,000 existing M-Pesa agents across the country. A DTB ATM is now  like any other M-pesa agent which offers 24 hour access to Cash.

DTB has continued with their innovation strides by introducing new products, services, opening branches and ATM's countrywide. It has been DTB's strategy to improve the service delivery to existing and potential customers all over Tanzania. DTB aims to bring banking closer to people all over Tanzania.
Speaking during the press conference in the nation's commercial capital, Dar es Salaam, the Head of Sales and Marketing for DTB, Sylvester Bahati, said: "It is the service of its kind that enables even more convenience to M-pesa users.
Bahati further said that the service will help facilitating access to banking services along with the improvement of the standard of life and economy for the entire Tanzanians in urban and rural areas.
Speaking on behalf of Vodacom, Salum Mwalim, Manager External Affairs said, "This is yet another milestone that we are marking today. Vodacom is extending its M-Pesa agent network to DTB and by so doing allowing M-pesa customers to withdraw money conveniently from their M-pesa wallets"
Mwalim went on to say that DTB and Vodacom integration is an extension of efforts to become even more closer to its customers.
"Vodacom has always aimed at increasingly accelerating and improving service delivery to its customers, clients and partners and also ensuring expansion of its services and products, including M-Pesa, network accessibility, internet among others, said Mwalim.
